From my church's cookbook. I think it would be good served with toasted pita bread or tortilla chips. Haven't tried it yet.

Time 10m

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 (14 ounce) cans artichokes
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup parmesan cheese
8 ounces mozzarella cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Drain and chop artichokes.
  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • Bake at 350 until bubbly.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh artichokes: The freshness of the artichokes greatly influences the flavor and texture of the dip. Look for artichokes that are heavy for their size, have tightly closed leaves, and have a bright green color.
  • Trim the artichokes properly: To prepare the artichokes, remove the tough outer leaves, trim the stem, and scoop out the hairy choke from the center. This ensures that the dip has a smooth and pleasant texture.
  • Use a variety of cheeses: The combination of cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese creates a rich and flavorful dip. Experiment with different types of cheeses to find your favorite combination.
  • Season the dip well: Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper are essential seasonings for the artichoke dip. Adjust the seasonings to your taste preferences.
  • Top with bread crumbs: A crispy bread crumb topping adds texture and flavor to the dip. Use fresh or dried bread crumbs, and season them with herbs or spices for extra flavor.
  • Bake until golden brown: Bake the artichoke dip until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread crumb topping is golden brown. This ensures that the dip is cooked through and has a delicious crust.
