Tips:

  • For the Nachos: Use high-quality tortilla chips that are sturdy enough to hold up to the toppings. If you can, find a brand that uses stone-ground corn for a more authentic flavor.
  • For the Black Beans: Use dried black beans for the best flavor and texture. If you don't have time to soak and cook them, you can use canned black beans, but be sure to rinse and drain them well before using.
  • For the Artichoke Dip: Use fresh artichoke hearts for the best flavor. If you can't find fresh artichoke hearts, you can use canned or frozen artichoke hearts, but be sure to drain them well before using.
  • For the Guacamole: Use ripe avocados for the best flavor. If you don't have ripe avocados, you can put unripe avocados in a paper bag with an apple or banana. This will help them ripen faster.
  • For the Pico de Gallo: Use fresh tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and jalapeños for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh ingredients, you can use store-bought pico de gallo.
