Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 can(s) beef broth (campbells 10.5 oz).
3 can(s) rice (long grain and washed)
1 lb butter
1 onion chopped
1 bell pepper chopped
1 pkg shallots or green onions chopped
1 1/2 c smoked sausage (hillshire) diced
1 qt medium shrimp (raw)
2 Tbsp creole seasoning (tony chachere etc.)

Steps:

  • 1. Mix everything together and pour into a 5 qt rice cooker. Turn on and let it cook until done about 20-25 min or so. Good served with stir fried okra.

Tips:

  • Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor and texture. Frozen shrimp can also be used, but thaw them completely before cooking.
  • Do not overcook the shrimp. Overcooked shrimp will become tough and rubbery.
  • Use a good quality cream cheese. This will make the dip rich and creamy.
  • Use a variety of cheeses to add flavor to the dip. Some good options include cheddar, Parmesan, and mozzarella.
  • Add some diced vegetables to the dip for added nutrition and flavor. Good options include celery, onion, and bell pepper.
  • Serve the dip with a variety of crackers, chips, or vegetables for dipping.

Conclusion:

Arlene's Shrimp Dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. This dip is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
