Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. In a small microwave bowl, melt the butter; stir in the brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. (I also added about 1/4 teaspoon salt since my soy sauce was Lite). Set aside. Place the well-drained green beans in a 13x9-inch baking pan. Scatter the cooked bacon pieces over the top of the beans. Drizzle the brown sugar mixture over the bacon and beans. Bake uncovered for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve hot. (There will be liquid in the bottom of the pan because of the butter, and moisture from the beans. I drained it out before serving).

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the drained green beans in a 9×13″ baking pan. Cook bacon in a frying pan on your stove top or in a microwave on a microwave-safe plate until bacon strips are cooked enough to chop into large pieces (they should be done, but not real crispy). Sprinkle the bacon pieces on top of the green beans. Combine the brown sugar, melted butter, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Pour this mixture over the green beans and bacon. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove from oven and serve.
Tips:
- Choose fresh, young green beans for the best flavor and texture.
- Trim the green beans by removing the ends and any tough strings.
- Slice the bacon into thin strips to ensure it cooks evenly.
- Use a large skillet to prevent the green beans from overcrowding and steaming instead of frying.
- Cook the green beans over medium-high heat to ensure they get a nice sear and remain crispy-tender.
- Do not overcook the green beans, as they will lose their vibrant color and become mushy.
- Season the green beans with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
- Serve the green beans immediately while they are still hot and crispy.
Conclusion:
This Arkansas green beans recipe is a delicious and easy side dish that is perfect for any occasion.
