- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and anise extract until well blended. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into the butter mixture until well incorporated. If you are using a stand mixer, let the dough mix for another minute to add lightness to the dough. The dough will be soft, but will hand roll easily.

- In small bowl, mix mustard and soy sauce. Brush 3 tablespoons of mixture over chicken. Stir 6 tablespoons of the apricot preserves and the sesame seed into remaining mustard mixture; set aside.
- Heat gas or charcoal grill for indirect cooking. For two-burner gas grill, heat one burner to medium; place chicken on unheated side. For one-burner gas grill, place chicken on grill over low heat. - Beat butter at medium speed of an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add the brown sugar and 1/2 cup sugar, beating well. Add the egg and 1 tbsp of the amaretto, beating well.
