Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pkg. orange Jello
1 c. boiling water
1 c. apricot nectar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1/4 c. chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Mix Jello, water and nectar until dissolved. Chill until firm. Blend cream cheese and pineapple; spread on top. Sprinkle nuts over. Chill and cut in squares.

Tips:

  • Use fresh apricots: Fresh apricots deliver the best flavor and texture to your salad. If you don't have access to fresh apricots, you can use frozen or canned apricots, but be sure to thaw or drain them before using.
  • Choose a flavorful Jell-O: The flavor of the Jell-O will be the dominant flavor in your salad, so choose one that you enjoy. Some popular choices include orange, lemon, and lime. You can also use a combination of flavors to create a unique taste.
  • Don't overcook the gelatin: Overcooked gelatin will become tough and rubbery. To avoid this, follow the package directions carefully and remove the gelatin from the heat as soon as it has dissolved.
  • Chill the salad thoroughly: The salad needs to be chilled for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving. This will allow the gelatin to set and the flavors to meld.
  • Garnish with fresh fruit or nuts: Before serving, garnish the salad with fresh fruit, such as berries or grapes, or chopped nuts, such as almonds or walnuts. This will add a pop of color and flavor.

Conclusion:

Apricot Jell-O salad is a classic dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make, refreshing, and delicious. With its combination of sweet apricots, tangy Jell-O, and creamy whipped topping, this salad is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
