10 slices French bread baguette (1/4 inch thick)
1/2 cup chopped dried apricots
1/2 cup apricot nectar
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1/4 cup reduced-fat ricotta cheese
1/4 cup apricot preserves
2 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted

Steps:

  • Place bread on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for until toasted, 4-6 minutes. Cool., Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine apricots, nectar and lemon peel. Bring to a boil. 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 package (7 ounces) apricots with mixed fruit baby food, divided
1 egg
3/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon milk, divided
3 tablespoons canola oil
1-1/8 teaspoons almond extract, divided
2/3 cup sliced almonds, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup diced dried apricots
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugars, baking powder and salt. Set aside 1 tablespoon baby food for glaze. 1 - 8 oz loaf baguette style french bread
3 Tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp snipped fresh rosemary
1 - 8 oz jar apricot preserves
1/2 tsp finely grated lemon peel
8 oz brie cheese thinly sliced
1/3 c chopped almonds, lightly toasted

Steps:

  • 1. Cut bread diagonally into 1/2 inch slices. Stir together olive oil, garlic, and rosemary; brush mixture over bread. Bake at 400 degrees, until bread just starts to brown.
