Tips:

  • Use fresh apples. Fresh apples have a better flavor and texture than apples that have been sitting in storage for a long time. Look for apples that are crisp and free of blemishes.
  • Peel and core the apples before you grate them. This will help to prevent the skins from getting into the cake batter.
  • Grate the apples on the large holes of a box grater. This will create small pieces of apple that will distribute evenly throughout the cake batter.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter can make the cake tough. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. This will ensure that the cake is fully cooked.
  • Let the cake cool completely before you frost it. This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.

Conclusion:

This apple spice cake is easy to make and has a delicious flavor that is perfect for fall. The moist cake is filled with apples and spices, and is topped with a creamy vanilla frosting. Whether you are serving it for dessert or brunch, this cake is sure to be a hit.
