1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup dried figs, chopped
1/3 to 1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon butter, softened
Dash ground allspice

Tips:

  • Choose the right apples: For the best flavor, use firm, tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • Use fresh lemon juice: Fresh lemon juice will brighten the flavors of the glaze and prevent the apples from browning.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the apples, make sure they are in a single layer in the pan so that they can brown evenly.
  • Cook the apples until they are tender: The apples should be tender but still hold their shape. If they are too soft, they will fall apart when you glaze them.
  • Make the glaze ahead of time: The glaze can be made up to a week ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. When you're ready to use it, simply reheat it over low heat.

Conclusion:

Apple honey glaze is a delicious and versatile glaze that can be used on a variety of dishes. It's perfect for roasted chicken, pork, or fish, and it also makes a great dipping sauce for fruit or pancakes. With its sweet and tangy flavor, apple honey glaze is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
