APPLE PAN GOODY
I found the recipe for this unique casserole years ago and adapted it to my family's taste. Dotted with dried cranberries, the tender apple bake is sweetened with brown sugar and a little cinnamon. We enjoy it on breakfast buffets, but it also makes a fun side dish, particularly with a pork entree. -Jeanne Bredemeyer, Orient, New York

APPLE GOODY
This makes a nice one dish dessert, on the cold winter days . We lived in the middle of an apple orchard in Grand Junction Colo. for a few years . We had so many apples I didn't know what to do with them. This dish is fast to make and really good to eat, I like to put ice cream on mine.

Steps:
- 1. Mix apples, sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon and put into baking dish.
- 2. Mix the topping ingredients together and pat over the apple mixture. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minites. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
Tips:
- Choose the right apples: For the best results, use a firm, tart apple such as Granny Smith or Braeburn. These apples will hold their shape when baked and provide a nice contrast to the sweet filling.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make the muffins tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Fill the muffin cups evenly: To ensure that the muffins bake evenly, fill each muffin cup with the same amount of batter.
- Bake the muffins until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This is the best way to ensure that the muffins are cooked through.
- Let the muffins cool before enjoying them: This will allow the flavors to develop and the muffins to set properly.

Apple muffins are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. With a variety of recipes to choose from, you're sure to find one that you love. So next time you're looking for a tasty and satisfying treat, give apple muffins a try.
