Yield Cuts into 12 slices

Number Of Ingredients 9

200g butter , softened plus extra for greasing
200g dark muscovado sugar

Tips:

  • Use a variety of apples. This will give your fruitcake a more complex flavor and texture. Some good choices include Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Braeburn apples.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the fruitcake tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the fruitcake in a slow oven. This will help to prevent the cake from drying out. Bake the cake at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 hours, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Wrap the fruitcake in plastic wrap and store it in a cool, dark place. This will help to keep the cake moist. You can store the cake for up to 2 weeks at room temperature, or for up to 6 months in the refrigerator.
  • Serve the fruitcake with your favorite toppings. Some popular choices include whipped cream, ice cream, or hard sauce.

Conclusion:

Apple fruitcake is a delicious and festive holiday treat. It's easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With its moist texture, flavorful apples, and sweet glaze, apple fruitcake is sure to be a hit at your next holiday gathering.
