Tips:

  • Use a variety of apples: This will give your cake a more complex flavor and texture. Some good options include Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Pink Lady.
  • Don't peel the apples: The skin adds flavor and nutrients to the cake.
  • Slice the apples thinly: This will help them cook evenly.
  • Use a deep baking dish: This will prevent the cake from overflowing.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can make the cake tough.
  • Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This will ensure that the cake is cooked through.
  • Serve the cake warm with ice cream or whipped cream: This will make it even more delicious!
