1 c chunky apple sauce
1 medium cooking apple, thinly sliced (1 cup)
sweetened whipped cream, if desired.

Steps:

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use fresh, crisp apples and cranberries. If you're using frozen cranberries, be sure to thaw them before using.
  • If you don't have a baking dish, you can use a 9x13 inch glass baking pan.
  • Be sure to grease the baking dish before adding the apple-cranberry mixture.
  • If you want a sweeter dessert, you can add more sugar to the apple-cranberry mixture. You can also use a sweeter apple variety, such as Honeycrisp or Gala.
  • For a more tart dessert, you can use a tart apple variety, such as Granny Smith or Braeburn.
  • If you want a crunchy topping, be sure to use old-fashioned oats. Quick-cooking oats will not give you the same texture.
  • If you don't have butter, you can use margarine or shortening instead.
  • Be sure to let the apple-cranberry dessert cool completely before serving. This will help the topping to set.

Conclusion:

Apple cranberry dessert is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It's a great way to use up leftover apples and cranberries, and it's a surefire hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a simple but delicious dessert, give this apple cranberry dessert a try.
