2 cups peeled apples, chopped or grated
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

  • Cool upright on a rack 10-15 minutes.
  • Invert and remove from pan and finish cooling on a rack.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of regular milk and letting it sit for 5 minutes.
  • To make sure your cake is cooked through, insert a toothpick into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is done.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it. This will help prevent the frosting from melting.
  • If you don't have a bundt pan, you can also use a 9x13 inch baking pan. Just be sure to adjust the baking time accordingly.

This apple cocoa snack cake is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion.
