HEALTHY APPLE CINNAMON OATMEAL BARS

Healthy Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bars image

My version of a very healthy high protein, low sugar, high fiber snack/energy bar. Only good carbs and a low glycemic index. This bar is very tasty and filling! I also want to stress that this is a LOW sugar item. If you are looking for something that is very sweet, like my first reviewer, you may want to add more sugar or splenda. This is personal preference as I do not like things too sweet.

Tips:

  • Use ripe apples: Riper apples will have a sweeter flavor and will break down more easily when baked, making for a more tender and flavorful bar.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make the bars tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the bars until they are just set: Overbaking the bars will make them dry. Bake them until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached.
  • Let the bars cool completely before cutting them: This will help them to hold their shape and prevent them from crumbling.
  • Serve the bars warm or at room temperature: These bars are best served warm or at room temperature, when the flavors have had a chance to develop.

Conclusion:

These apple cinnamon oatmeal bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. They are packed with healthy ingredients like oats, apples, and cinnamon, and they are a good source of fiber and antioxidants. Plus, they are naturally sweetened with honey, making them a healthier choice than many other baked goods.
