APPLE CINNAMON CROCK POT POTPOURRI
After reading many different crock pot potpourri recipes I came up with this one, and my house smells wonderful! :) If you don't have a small crock pot, just use a sauce pan and simmer on your stove. These are fun to throw together because you can use what ever you want to create the scent you want and you can't really mess up. I used the spices sold in the cellophane bag, they are very inexpensive and are usually in the Hispanic section of the grocery store.

Steps:
- 1. Combine everything in a small crock-pot. Turn on high for an hour, then reduce heat to lowest setting and simmer uncovered for hours. You can add a bit more water as needed. (Do not drink)
- 2. If you only have a very large crock-pot you can either double the recipe or the mixture can be simmered in a saucepan on the stove, but it will need to be watched more closely.
Tips:
- Choose the right apples: Use firm, tart apples that hold their shape well, such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
- Slice the apples thinly: This will help them to dry out quickly and evenly.
- Use a variety of spices: In addition to cinnamon, you can add other spices such as nutmeg, cloves, or allspice.
- Don't overcrowd the crock pot: Leave some space between the apple slices so that they can dry out properly.
- Stir the potpourri occasionally: This will help to prevent the apples from sticking together.
- Dry the potpourri completely: Before storing the potpourri, make sure that it is completely dry. This will help to prevent mold from forming.
Conclusion:
Apple cinnamon crock pot potpourri is a simple and easy way to fill your home with a warm and inviting scent. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a potpourri that will last for weeks. So next time you're looking for a way to freshen up your home, give this recipe a try.
