Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 13 by 9-inch glass baking dish with 2 teaspoons of the butter.
- In a large bowl, cream together the remaining stick of butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs 1 at a time, beating after the addition of each. Steps:
- 1. pre heat oven to 350 degree's. Grease and flour a Bundt or angel food cake pan.
- 2. Beat butter, and sugars together. Add eggs, and vanilla. Beat on low speed until well blended. Mix in the apple sauce.
- 3. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon together. Gradually add to butter mixture a little at a time. Mix on medium speed.
- 4. Stir in the nuts, cinnamon chips, and apples. Pour in to Bundt pan. Make sure thick batter is level. Bake at 350 degree's for 40-45 minutes, or until pick comes out clean. Cool and invert on to platter. Make icing.
- 5. Make icing: Melt the butter in a saucepan on low-medium high heat. Stir constantly until butter turn golden brown. Do not burn. Let cool slightly. Add in sifted powdered sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and milk one tablespoon at a time. Blend well. Drizzle over coffee cake, and top with finely chopped walnuts,and serve.
