Number Of Ingredients 7

1 bag bare Snacks Apple Chips
1/2 cup Slivered almonds
1/3 cup Dried cranberries
1/4 cup Dairy-free chocolate chips
1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
1 cup Warm water + more as needed
1 teaspoon Maple syrup

Steps:

  • Step 1. Make the date caramel in advance. If your dates are dry, soak them in hot water for 10 minutes before adding to the recipe. Add the dates, warm water, and maple syrup to a high speed blender and process until perfectly smooth and creamy, adding more water as needed for thinner caramel. If your caramel gets too thin, add in another date or two to thicken. Refrigerate until ready for use.
  • Step 2. To make your apple chip nachos, add apple chips to a plate and top with a generous amount of date caramel. Top with slivered almonds, dried cranberries, and dark chocolate chips. Serve immediately.
  • Step 3. Enjoy!
  • Step 4. Store leftover date caramel in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Tips:

  • Use firm, crisp apples: Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples are ideal for this recipe, as they hold their shape well when baked.
  • Slice the apples thinly: This will help them crisp up in the oven and make them easier to eat.
  • Toss the apples in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar: This will give them a sweet and spicy flavor.
  • Bake the apples in a single layer: This will help them crisp up evenly.
  • Keep an eye on the apples while they are baking: They can burn easily, so it's important to check on them frequently.
  • Make the date caramel while the apples are baking: This will give it time to cool and thicken slightly.
  • Assemble the nachos just before serving: This will help prevent the apples from getting soggy.

Conclusion:

Apple chip nachos with date caramel are a delicious and unique snack or dessert that is perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With their sweet, crunchy, and chewy texture, these nachos are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
