2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (I like pecans)

Tips:

  • Use a variety of apples. This will give your crisp a more complex flavor and texture. Some good options include Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Braeburn.
  • Don't overcook the apples. They should be tender but still hold their shape.
  • Use fresh cherries. Frozen cherries can be used in a pinch, but fresh cherries will give your crisp the best flavor.
  • Toast the pecans. This will bring out their flavor and make them more crunchy.
  • Don't skimp on the butter. Butter is what makes the crisp topping so delicious and golden brown.
  • Serve the crisp warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. This will take your dessert to the next level!

Conclusion:

Apple cherry pecan crisp is a classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its sweet and tangy apples, juicy cherries, crunchy pecans, and buttery oat topping, this crisp is sure to be a hit.
