Tips:
- Choose the right apples. For this recipe, it's best to use a firm, tart apple like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp. These apples will hold their shape better during baking and provide a nice contrast to the sweet cherries.
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter will make the cake tough. Simply stir the ingredients together until they are just combined.
- Use a 9x13 inch baking dish. This is the best size dish for this recipe. A smaller dish will make the cake too thick, and a larger dish will make it too thin.
- Don't overbake the cake. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Overbaking will make the cake dry.
- Serve the cake warm or at room temperature. This cake is best enjoyed warm or at room temperature. If you refrigerate the cake, it will become more dense.
Conclusion:
This apple cherry dump cake is an easy and delicious dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It's made with simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand, and it comes together in just a few minutes. The cake is moist and flavorful, with a perfect balance of sweet and tart. It's sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it!
