OATMEAL AND APPLE BUTTER BARS
This is one of my newly adopted recipes. I tossed this together tonight while fixing dinner. Very quick and easy dessert. I used regular apple butter, but no added sugar apple butter could be used as well.

APPLE BUTTER BARS
This is one really easy dessert. Your friends are guaranteed to eat these up. These make a great dessert, but could be really nice with a cup of tea at breakfast. We used apple butter, but I bet raspberry jam would be wonderful in these too.

Tips:
- Use ripe apples: The riper the apples, the sweeter and more flavorful your apple butter will be.
- Peel and core the apples: This will help to remove the skin and seeds, which can make the apple butter grainy.
- Cook the apples until they are very soft: This will help to release their natural pectin, which will thicken the apple butter.
- Add spices to taste: Common spices used in apple butter include cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- Simmer the apple butter until it reaches the desired consistency: This can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours.
- Store the apple butter in a cool, dark place: Apple butter can be stored for up to a year in a cool, dark place.
- Serve the apple butter on toast, pancakes, waffles, or oatmeal: Apple butter is a delicious and versatile spread that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways.
