Categories     Cakes

Number Of Ingredients 13

wet ingredients:
4 cups peeled, cored, and grated apples (generous)
2 mashed bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup canola oil
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
dry ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Steps:

  • 1. 1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Combine all the wet ingredients in large bowl and mix well. 3. Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl and mix well. 4. Add dry to wet ingredients and mix thoroughly. 5. Pour into an ungreased 9x13 pan. 6. Bake for 1 hour.

Tips:

  • Use ripe bananas: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your cake will be.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy: This will help to incorporate air into the batter, resulting in a lighter, more tender cake.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition: This will help to prevent the batter from curdling.
  • Mix the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl before adding them to the wet ingredients: This will help to ensure that the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Do not overmix the batter: Overmixing can result in a tough, dense cake.
  • Bake the cake in a preheated oven: This will help to prevent the cake from sinking in the middle.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it: This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.

Conclusion:

Apple banana cake is a delicious and easy-to-make cake that is perfect for any occasion. With its moist texture, sweet flavor, and delicious frosting, this cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
