APPLE AND GINGER PORK BURGERS (REDUCED FAT)
This is my latest creation in my attempt to make comfort foods like burgers more healthy. We love a good burger but I am on a low fat diet. So, every Friday for the past few weeks, rather than going out to have fatty fast food meal I have been trying to invent a different type of reduced fat burger. This was the invention from tonight and I think it made the transition from brain to plate fairly well. I had mine simply with a bit of fat free mayo and a slice of tomato and my partner had a bit of ketchup and some onions.

Tips:
- Choose lean pork mince. This will help to reduce the fat content of your burgers.
- Use a food processor to mince the pork. This will give you a finer mince, which will make your burgers more tender.
- Add plenty of flavorings to your burgers. This could include things like grated ginger, garlic, onion, herbs, and spices.
- Don't overmix your burger mixture. Overmixing will make your burgers tough.
- Shape your burgers gently. Don't press them too hard, or they will be dense and dry.
- Cook your burgers over a medium heat. This will help to prevent them from burning.
- Don't overcrowd your pan. If you do, your burgers will steam rather than fry.
- Serve your burgers with healthy sides. This could include things like a salad, roasted vegetables, or whole grain bread.
Conclusion:
Apple and ginger pork burgers are a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional beef burgers. They are packed with flavor and nutrition, and they are easy to make.
