ANY FLAVOR CAKE MIX COOKIES
Very simple recipe to turn your favorite flavor cake mix into perfect cookies! (You know, the kind with a nice cracked pattern on top, and a tiny bit of almost under done center). We went on a diet so I no longer keep white flour in the house, however a single cake mix managed to elude me. I found it when I was looking for something to bring to church. Now I keep a cake mix for bringing cookies, it's a lot less dangerous than a bag of flour! (Its best with a mix that has pudding in it for chewiness; you can also use the dry ingredients from your favorite from scratch recipe).

Steps:
- Toss all ingredients into a bowl, using enough Crisco to form a stiff dough. (I found it to take less time than pulling my mixer out, so I mix by hand).
- Form into little balls, place on a baking sheet 2 inches apart, gently flatten the balls, and bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes, till puffy, and just barely golden around the edges. (They do spread a little while baking).
- Remove from heat, cool 5 minutes before removing to a rack to cool. (Okay, I didn't use a rack the second time, they still turned out great!) They will shrink down a little in height and form a perfect cookie!
ANY-FLAVOUR COOKIES
You can use any kind of (sweet) liquid to make these - fruit juice, iced tea (or other infusion)... even a smoothie; for a more grown up taste, try some liqueur or coffee. They work up really quickly, are dense and chewy, and are vegan.

Tips:
- Choose the Right Ingredients: Ensure you use fresh and high-quality ingredients for the best results. For instance, using real butter instead of margarine will give your cookies a richer flavor.
- Properly Measure Ingredients: Use accurate measuring tools to ensure the correct proportions of ingredients. Precise measurements contribute to a successful cookie outcome.
- Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps prevent spreading and results in thicker, chewier cookies. It also allows the flavors to meld together for a more intense taste.
- Use Parchment Paper: Line your baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier. Parchment paper also helps the cookies bake evenly.
- Bake at the Right Temperature: Follow the recipe's recommended baking temperature and time closely. Overbaking can result in dry, crumbly cookies, while underbaking can leave them too soft and gooey.
- Let Cookies Cool Completely: Allow the cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack. This helps them set and prevents breakage.
- Store Properly: Store your cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Alternatively, freeze them for longer storage. Place parchment paper between layers of cookies to prevent sticking.
Conclusion:
With a variety of flavor options and the versatility to adapt to your preferences, this cookie recipe offers endless possibilities for experimentation and enjoyment. Whether you're a seasoned baker or a beginner in the kitchen, this recipe provides a solid foundation for creating delicious, customizable cookies that will satisfy any craving. So gather your ingredients, preheat your oven, and embark on a delightful baking journey. Happy baking!
