Indulge in the ultimate comfort food experience with Antoinette Lordos' melt-in-your-mouth meatloaf, a culinary masterpiece that tantalizes taste buds and warms hearts. This delectable dish features a symphony of flavors, textures, and aromas that will transport you to a realm of culinary bliss.
Crafted with a blend of ground beef, pork, and lamb, this meatloaf is a true carnivore's delight. The addition of sautéed onions, bell peppers, and garlic adds a touch of sweetness and savory depth, while a combination of breadcrumbs, eggs, and milk ensures a moist and tender interior. The secret ingredient, however, lies in the special sauce made from ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce, which bastes the meatloaf during baking, creating a caramelized crust and infusing it with irresistible umami flavors.
Accompanying the meatloaf are three sensational recipes that elevate the dining experience. Mashed potatoes, made with creamy butter, fluffy milk, and a hint of garlic, provide a velvety canvas for the rich meatloaf. Green beans, sautéed with crispy bacon and tangy vinegar, offer a refreshing contrast, while a classic gravy, prepared with beef broth, red wine, and herbs, adds an extra layer of richness and depth.
Together, these recipes form a harmonious ensemble, a culinary symphony that will leave you craving for more. Whether you're hosting a family gathering, a cozy dinner party, or simply indulging in a comforting meal, Antoinette Lordos' melt-in-your-mouth meatloaf is guaranteed to be the star of the show.

MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH CROCKPOT MEATLOAF
I can't take credit for this recipe. It came from one of my Taste of Home magazine years ago. I can say that it is truly the easiest and best meatloaf EVER! The texture is perfect for sandwiches the next day, and the sauce adds a slight sweetness you don't get from the typical plain ketchup on the top. My picky daughter loves it, which says a LOT She hates finding chunks of onions or peppers in meatloaf and this recipe solves that beautifully. Oh, and it doubles wonderfully if you have a larger crockpot. Use tin foil strips to aid in removal. ENJOY!!

Steps:
- Grate potato and onion using a box grater. Heat a large frying pan with 2 tablespoons olive oil. Add grated potato and onion, season with salt and pepper, then sauté until light brown about 5-6 minutes. Set aside and allow to cool. In a large bowl mix the meat, bread crumbs, grated cheese, eggs, tomato sauce, parsley, basil and garlic powder. Add the cooled potato and onion, mix well with hands. Transfer mixture onto waxed paper and flatten into a rectangle. Lay cubed mozzarella in the middle of the loaf and fold over all sides to cover. Transfer into a greased pan, rub meatloaf with olive oil and bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 1 hour, uncover. For the Gravy: Heat all ingredients in a saucepan stirring often until it starts to boil. Continue to stir until mixture thickens to preferred consistency. Serve over meatloaf.
Tips:
- Use a combination of ground beef and ground pork. This will give the meatloaf a more flavorful and moist texture.
- Soak the bread crumbs in milk before adding them to the meatloaf mixture. This will help to bind the ingredients together and prevent the meatloaf from becoming dry.
- Add some grated vegetables to the meatloaf mixture. This will add flavor and moisture, and it's a great way to sneak some extra veggies into your family's diet.
- Use a loaf pan that is just large enough to hold the meatloaf mixture. This will help to prevent the meatloaf from shrinking too much during baking.
- Bake the meatloaf at a low temperature for a longer period of time. This will help to keep the meatloaf moist and prevent it from becoming dry.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the meatloaf to retain its juices.
Conclusion:
Antoinette Lordos' Melt-in-Your-Mouth Meatloaf is a delicious and easy-to-make recipe that is perfect for a family meal. With its combination of ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, eggs, and spices, this meatloaf is sure to be a hit at your next gathering.
