ANN LANDER'S MEATLOAF
Adapted over the years for my family's taste. Original recipe calls for 8 oz. tomato sauce instead of chili sauce over the top. If you don't like sauce on top of your meatloaf, then leave it off. This is an old recipe, written long before MSG (Accent) was determined to be evil. Use at your own risk.

ANN LANDER'S MEAT LOAF
Was still going through Mom's recipe box and came across this one. I remember it from the 60's or maybe early 70's. Mom's sister had written it on a card and given it to her.

Steps:
- Mix all ingedients together except tomato sauce. Put meat mixture in a loaf pan and top with tomato sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes.
Tips:
- Use a combination of ground beef and pork for a more flavorful meatloaf. Pork adds moisture and richness to the dish.
- Don't overmix the meatloaf mixture. Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough.
- Use a loaf pan that is just big enough to hold the meatloaf mixture. A too-large pan will result in a dry meatloaf.
- Bake the meatloaf at a moderate temperature. A high temperature will cause the meatloaf to brown too quickly and become dry.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This will help the meatloaf hold its shape and make it easier to slice.
- Serve the meatloaf with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or roasted carrots.
Conclusion:
Ann Landers' Meatloaf is a classic comfort food dish that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its simple ingredients and delicious flavor, this meatloaf is sure to become a staple in your home. So next time you're looking for a hearty and satisfying meal, give Ann Landers' Meatloaf a try.
