1 lean pork roast, about 4 to 5 lb
1 cup water
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (15 ounce) can sauerkraut
1/2 cup applesauce
1/4 cup brown sugar

  • Place the pork roast in a Dutch oven or other large, deep, heavy pan. Add about 1 cup water and black pepper. Cover and cook over low heat for about 2 hours.
