Tips:

  • Don't overcook the ground beef: Overcooking can make the beef tough and dry. Cook it until it is just cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: This will add flavor, texture, and nutrients to the casserole. Some good options include onions, celery, carrots, potatoes, and corn.
  • Season the casserole well: Use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste. You can also add other herbs and spices, such as oregano, basil, or thyme.
  • Use a good quality cheese: The cheese will add flavor and richness to the casserole. Use a sharp cheddar cheese or a combination of cheeses, such as mozzarella and Parmesan.
  • Don't overcook the casserole: The casserole is done when the cheese is melted and bubbly and the vegetables are tender. Overcooking can make the casserole dry and tough.
