Tips:

  • Chill the dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps the cookies hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much.
  • Use quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your cookies will taste. Use real butter, not margarine, and use fresh eggs.
  • Measure your ingredients accurately: This is important for any baking recipe, but it's especially important for cookies. Too much or too little of an ingredient can throw off the balance of the recipe.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough can make the cookies tough. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cookies at the right temperature: The baking temperature will vary depending on the recipe, but most cookies are baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before frosting them: This will help the frosting set properly.

Whether you're making them for a cookie exchange, a holiday party, or just to enjoy at home, these cookies are sure to be a hit.
