Tips:

  • Use fresh black walnuts. Fresh walnuts have a better flavor and texture than walnuts that have been stored for a long time.
  • Chop the walnuts finely. Finely chopped walnuts will distribute more evenly throughout the cookies and give them a more uniform flavor.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing the dough will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking. Chilling the dough will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at a high temperature. Baking the cookies at a high temperature will help them set quickly and prevent them from becoming dry.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before storing them. The cookies will continue to set as they cool, so it's important to let them cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.

Conclusion:

Amish black walnut cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make cookie that is perfect for any occasion. These cookies are made with simple ingredients and have a wonderful flavor that is sure to please everyone.
