This dip was the result of endless combinations to try to come up with some dip that I didn't have to cook for work. Serve immediately or it is even better if you leave it in the refrigerator overnight. Store in nonmetallic air-tight container. The only kitchen utensil you need is a food processor. Best with pita chips, crostini, or some kind of chip with less salt.

AMAZING SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP

Wherever I take this dip, it disappears in a matter of minutes! I find that making it in the crock pot is easiest for me but you can also make in microwave or oven. You can also use the low-fat versions of sour cream and cream cheese and the recipe tastes just as good.

Time 1h15m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pkg cream cheese
8 oz sour cream
2 c shredded parmesan
1 can(s) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
3 clove garlic, chopped
1 pkg feta cheese (tomato basil)
1/4 c frozen spinach
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. In a small crock pot (1.5 qt) add all ingredients, except spinach, and let melt together for about an hour.
  • 2. Then add spinach. (I buy a bag of frozen, chopped spinach and keep it in the freezer. It's easier to use than the brick of frozen spinach.)
  • 3. Serve with your favorite chips or crackers.

Tips:

  • To save time, use frozen spinach that has been thawed and squeezed dry.
  • For a creamier dip, use a combination of cream cheese and sour cream.
  • If you like a little heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
  • For a cheesy dip, top with a layer of shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese before baking.
  • Serve the dip with a variety of dippers, such as tortilla chips, pita chips, or vegetable crudités.

Conclusion:

Spinach artichoke dip is a delicious and versatile appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you like it creamy, cheesy, or spicy, there is a spinach artichoke dip recipe out there for you. So next time you are looking for a crowd-pleasing appetizer, give spinach artichoke dip a try.
