Time 15m

Yield 50-54 cookies

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cups brown sugar (slightly packed)
1 1/2 cups butter (room temperature)
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 large eggs
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips (or however much you like! I usually eyeball a couple cups)

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together with a handmixer in a large bowl EXCEPT chocolate chips.
  • Fold in chocolate chips with a spatula and spoon 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes or until the edges are just slightly brown.
  • Remove immediately from cookie sheet onto cooling racks.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate chips. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your cookies.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough.
  • Chill the dough before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at a high temperature. This will help them get chewy and crispy.
  • Don't overbake the cookies. Overbaking will make them dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before storing them. This will help them keep their shape and texture.

Conclusion:

These chewy chocolate chip cookies are the perfect treat for any occasion. They're easy to make and always a hit with friends and family. So next time you're looking for a delicious and classic cookie recipe, give these a try. You won't be disappointed!
