This is a delicious bread with the work left out. This is perfect to make into Thanksgiving dinner rolls. I prefer to use the machine to make the dough and then bake it in the oven. Baking time is however long it takes your machine.

Tips:

  • Choose the right hazelnuts: For the best flavor, use fresh, raw hazelnuts that have been recently harvested. Avoid nuts that are dry, shriveled, or have any signs of mold.
  • Toast the hazelnuts: Toasting the hazelnuts enhances their flavor and makes them more aromatic. You can toast them in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 10-12 minutes, or in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Grind the hazelnuts finely: For a smooth and even texture in your bread, grind the hazelnuts into a fine powder. You can use a food processor or a blender for this.
  • Use good quality amaretto liqueur: The amaretto liqueur adds a distinctive almond flavor to the bread. Choose a brand that you enjoy the taste of, and make sure it is at least 18% alcohol by volume.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can result in a tough, dense bread. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined, and be careful not to overwork the dough.
  • Bake the bread at the right temperature: The bread should be baked at a temperature of 350°F for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Conclusion:

Amaretto hazelnut bread is a delicious and versatile bread that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dessert. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you prefer a sweeter or more nutty bread, this recipe can be adjusted to suit your liking. With its moist crumb, rich flavor, and delightful aroma, amaretto hazelnut bread is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
