HOMEMADE DOG TREATS (TANGO'S TREATS)

Homemade Dog Treats (Tango's Treats) image

My dogs--especially my puppy, Tango Foxtrot--loved carrots, apples, and peanut butter. So, for his first birthday, I combined Tango's favorite flavors into a special treat just for him. Make sure to use a natural peanut butter that does not contain added salt, sugar, or other ingredients. Keep extra treats stored in the fridge.

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: This will ensure that your treats are not only tasty but also nutritious for your dog.
  • Keep treats small: Dog treats should be no larger than a pea, so that your dog can easily chew and swallow them.
  • Avoid using ingredients that are toxic to dogs: This includes grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, chocolate, and macadamia nuts.
  • Store treats in an airtight container in a cool, dry place: This will help to keep them fresh and prevent them from spoiling.
  • Give treats to your dog in moderation: Treats should not make up more than 10% of your dog's daily diet.
