JUICY ROASTED CHICKEN

My grandmother's recipe for roasted chicken. We are German and she used to do it this way all the time. I never have had a chicken this juicy before; this little trick works and makes the people eating it go silent. It's funny. We nibble on the celery after.

  • Choose the right chicken: For this recipe, it's best to use a whole chicken that is about 3-4 pounds. You can also use chicken breasts or thighs, but you may need to adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  • Season the chicken well: Don't be afraid to use plenty of seasonings on your chicken. This will help to add flavor and moisture to the meat.
  • Roast the chicken at a high temperature: Roasting the chicken at a high temperature (425 degrees Fahrenheit) will help to create a crispy skin and juicy meat.
  • Add vegetables to the roasting pan: Roasting vegetables along with the chicken is a great way to add flavor and nutrition to your meal.
  • Baste the chicken with the pan juices: Basting the chicken with the pan juices will help to keep it moist and flavorful.
  • Let the chicken rest before carving: Once the chicken is cooked through, let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meat, making it more tender and flavorful.
