Tips:

  • Choose the right mushrooms: Smaller mushrooms, such as cremini or button mushrooms, work best in the air fryer. Make sure they are evenly sized so that they cook evenly.
  • Clean the mushrooms thoroughly: Use a damp cloth or paper towel to wipe off any dirt or debris from the mushrooms.
  • Toss the mushrooms in oil and seasonings: This will help them to crisp up and brown in the air fryer. You can use olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil. As for seasonings, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder are all good options.
  • Preheat the air fryer: This will help the mushrooms to cook evenly. Most air fryers have a preheat setting, but if yours doesn't, simply set it to the highest temperature for 3-5 minutes before adding the mushrooms.
  • Cook the mushrooms in a single layer: This will ensure that they cook evenly. If you overcrowd the air fryer basket, the mushrooms will steam instead of crisp up.
  • Shake the air fryer basket halfway through cooking: This will help to ensure that the mushrooms cook evenly on all sides.
  • Cook the mushrooms until they are tender and browned: The exact cooking time will vary depending on the size and thickness of the mushrooms, but they should be done in about 5-7 minutes.

Conclusion:

Air fryer mushrooms are a quick, easy, and healthy snack or side dish. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and they are packed with flavor. With just a few simple ingredients and a few minutes of cooking time, you can enjoy delicious air fryer mushrooms that the whole family will love.
