Tips:

  • Choose the right shrimp: Jumbo shrimp are the best option for air frying as they are large enough to withstand the high heat without drying out.
  • Thaw frozen shrimp properly: If using frozen shrimp, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight or under cold running water for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the shells and devein the shrimp: This will make them easier to eat and will help the marinade to penetrate the shrimp.
  • Marinate the shrimp: Marinating the shrimp in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and herbs will add flavor and help to keep them moist.
  • Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for at least 5 minutes before cooking the shrimp.
  • Cook the shrimp in a single layer: This will ensure that they cook evenly.
  • Shake the air fryer basket halfway through cooking: This will help to prevent the shrimp from sticking to the basket and will ensure that they cook evenly.
  • Cook the shrimp until they are opaque and pink: The shrimp should be cooked through but not overcooked. Overcooked shrimp will become tough and rubbery.
  • Serve the shrimp immediately: Air-fried shrimp are best served immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
