Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Russet potatoes are the best choice for hash browns because they have a high starch content, which results in a crispy, golden-brown exterior and a soft, fluffy interior.
  • Shred the potatoes evenly: To ensure even cooking, use a sharp grater to shred the potatoes into thin, uniform strips.
  • Season the potatoes liberally: Don't be afraid to season the potatoes generously with salt, pepper, and other spices. This will help to enhance their flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket: Make sure to leave enough space between the hash browns in the air fryer basket so that they can cook evenly.
  • Cook the hash browns in batches if necessary: If you have a large batch of hash browns, you may need to cook them in batches. This will help to prevent them from becoming soggy.

Conclusion:

Air fryer hash browns are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are a great way to use up leftover mashed potatoes or roasted potatoes, and they can also be made with fresh potatoes. With just a few simple ingredients and a few minutes of your time, you can have a plate of crispy, golden-brown hash browns that are sure to please everyone at the table.
