1 1/2 lbs Cod
6 oz Michelob ULTRA
2 Cups Flour
2 tbsp Corn Starch
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 egg
1/4 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Garlic Salt

  • Preheat Air Fryer to 390 Degrees
  • Cut Cod into fillets, about 3-4 inches long each.
  • Mix together 1 cup of flour, corn starch, baking soda, egg and beer in a medium size bowl.
  • Mix together the rest of the flour and the paprika, onion powder and garlic powder in another bowl.

Tips:

  • Use a light batter: A heavy batter will make the fish greasy and soggy. A light batter, made with flour, eggs, and milk, will allow the fish to cook evenly while still maintaining its crispy coating.
  • Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket: If you overcrowd the basket, the fish will not cook evenly. Leave some space between each piece of fish so that the air can circulate around it.
  • Cook the fish in batches if necessary: If you have a lot of fish to cook, you may need to cook it in batches. Just be sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  • Serve the fish immediately: Battered cod is best served hot and crispy. If you let it sit for too long, the coating will become soft and soggy.

Conclusion:

Air fryer battered cod is a quick and easy way to enjoy this classic dish. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have a delicious meal that the whole family will love. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy seafood dinner, give air fryer battered cod a try. You won't be disappointed!
