AINSLEY'S BARBECUE SPICE RUB
A wonderfully simple and aromatic spice rub, that tastes just fantastic. Can be used on all meats, but especially good rubbed into chicken ( a quick dinner favourite of our cooked on the old George Foreman grill!) Even my dad raves about this, and he is more than mean with his compliments when it comes to food!!

BBQ SPICE RUB
This rub is so simple! It's made with the everyday spices you have in your cupboard. I rub it on everything from chicken to pork to burgers to steak. I keep it in a Ziploc® bag in the freezer. It's always ready to go! Double or triple your ingredients so you always have it on hand.

Tips:
- Before applying any spice rub, make sure the meat is dry. This will help the rub adhere better.
- When applying the rub, be sure to coat the meat evenly on all sides.
- If you're using a dry rub, let it sit on the meat for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This will give the flavors time to penetrate the meat.
- If you're using a wet rub, you can apply it just before cooking.
- When cooking meat with a spice rub, be careful not to overcook it. Overcooked meat will be dry and tough.
- To get the most flavor out of your spice rub, cook the meat over a medium-low heat.
- If you're cooking meat on a grill, be sure to preheat the grill to medium-high heat before adding the meat.
- When grilling meat with a spice rub, be sure to flip the meat regularly to prevent it from burning.
- Once the meat is cooked, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meat.
