AIR-FRIED CHICKEN WINGS

Air-fried chicken wings image

Use an air fryer to make these easy chicken wings, and add the seasoning or sauce of your choice. They're perfect for a buffet or just a movie night snack

Provided by Anna Glover

Categories     Buffet, Side dish, Snack

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1kg chicken wings
1 tbsp sunflower or olive oil
seasoning of your choice (use salt and pepper, or ½-1 tsp of either smoky BBQ, ras-el-hanout, garlic granules, celery salt or garam masala)
dipping sauce, to serve (optional)

Steps:

  • Separate each chicken wing in two at the joint, removing the wing tips if you like using sharp kitchen scissors. Toss the chicken wings in the oil and seasoning, then tip into an air fryer (you can either use one with a paddle, or arrange them on the tray of your air fryer if it doesn't have a paddle).
  • Program the air fryer to cook for 35 mins. Check the wings are tender and cooked through - they should be almost falling off the bone - and cook for a further 5 mins if needed. The skin should have bubbled and crisped up, and any excess fat from the chicken will have dripped off into base of the fryer (discard this). Don't leave the chicken in the fryer, or the steam will make the skin soft again. Immediately tip into a bowl and serve with sauce for dipping.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh, plump chicken wings for the best flavor and texture.
  • To make sure the wings are evenly coated in batter, use a large bowl and toss the wings in the batter until they are completely covered.
  • Be careful not to overcrowd the wings in the fryer, as this will prevent them from cooking evenly.
  • Fry the wings in small batches for 3-5 minutes per batch, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve the wings immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Conclusion:

A1 Fried Chicken Wings are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a dish that is sure to please everyone. So next time you're looking for a quick and tasty meal, give A1 Fried Chicken Wings a try. You won't be disappointed!
