1 tablespoon Sriracha
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (plus more for garnish)
salt and pepper (to taste)
green onions (thinly sliced, for garnish)

Steps:

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil. Reduce the heat to low (or off) to ensure the water is no longer boiling or has bubbles and use a skimmer to place the eggs in the water. Then increase the heat back to high and set a timer for 14 minutes.

  • After 14 minutes, remove the eggs from the water and place in the ice water bath.

Tips:

  • For a creamier deviled egg, use mayonnaise instead of sour cream.
  • Add a dollop of Greek yogurt to the filling for a healthier option.
  • For a spicier deviled egg, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Garnish the deviled eggs with paprika, chopped chives, or crumbled bacon.

  • Make sure to use fresh eggs for the best flavor and texture.
  • If you don't have time to hard-boil the eggs, you can use pre-cooked eggs from the store.
  • Feel free to experiment with different flavor combinations. For example, you could add crumbled blue cheese, diced ham, or chopped pickles to the filling.
