Unveiling the layers, we begin with a foundation of crispy hash browns, providing a golden and savory base. Next, a layer of tender ground beef, seasoned to perfection, adds a hearty and flavorful dimension. A creamy and tangy combination of cream of celery soup and cream of mushroom soup envelops the beef, creating a rich and velvety sauce. A sprinkle of onion and garlic powder enhances the savory notes, while a generous helping of cheddar cheese blankets the mixture, adding a gooey and indulgent touch.

Adding depth and complexity, a layer of crunchy corn chips introduces a delightful textural contrast. As the casserole bakes, the chips soften slightly, absorbing the flavorful sauce and becoming irresistibly tender. Delicious!!-makes great leftovers. I am a very picky eater and I remember my stepmom serving this to us and we were hesitant to eat it--but once we tried, we all couldn't get enough! I always DOUBLE the recipe and add extra onions. Can use leftovers for stuffed peppers. My fav is use banana peppers instead and top with cheese.

This is a hand me down recipe, from where I don't know, but it is among many in my family recipe box. I like this as do my sons, but DH is not used to casseroles so he won't try it. Oh well all the more for us.
