Tips:

  • Use ripe, flavorful tomatoes: The quality of your tomatoes will greatly impact the flavor of your soup. Choose ripe, juicy tomatoes that are free of blemishes.
  • Roast the tomatoes before blending: Roasting the tomatoes intensifies their flavor and gives the soup a slightly smoky taste. If you don't have time to roast the tomatoes, you can skip this step, but the soup will not be as flavorful.
  • Use a high-quality broth: The broth is the base of your soup, so it's important to use a good-quality broth. Look for a broth that is low in sodium and has a rich flavor.
  • Season the soup to taste: Once the soup is blended, taste it and season it with salt, pepper, and any other spices you like. You may also want to add a squeeze of lemon juice or a dollop of cream to brighten the flavor.
  • Garnish the soup before serving: A few simple garnishes can make your soup look and taste even better. Try adding a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a drizzle of olive oil, or a few croutons.

Conclusion:

This 5-ingredient tomato soup is a quick, easy, and delicious meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. The soup is made with fresh tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, onion, and vegetable broth.
