Easy Microwave Chocolate Cake image

This is a quick and easy chocolate cake you can cook in the microwave in 2 minutes. And it tastes great. Really! The consistency is dense and cakey. Time 8m

Yield 2

Number Of Ingredients 9

3 tablespoons butter, softened
¼ cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ cup milk
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • Spray a medium microwave-safe bowl with non-stick spray and set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and milk; blend together. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt; blend into the mixture until smooth. Pour into greased bowl.
  • Cover and cook in the microwave on high for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes, or until cake springs back when touched. Since all microwaves cook differently, adjust the cooking time to accommodate your machine. To serve, let the cake cool five minutes, then cover the bowl with a plate and turn both bowl and plate upside down so the cake falls onto the plate.

3-2-1 MICROWAVE CAKE

3-2-1 Microwave Cake image

I don't remember where I found this, but it's great to have on hand when the grandkids come to visit or when I am really craving something sweet. Since you make it one serving at a time, I don't feel obligated to bake an entire cake (and then eat it lol).

Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 2

1 angel food cake mix
1 cake mix, any other, your choice (we like chocolate)

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together angel food cake mix and any other flavor cake mix (dry). Store in air-tight container. It will keep for months!
  • 2. When ready for something sweet, mix 3 Tablespoons cake mix (shake container to mix first) and 2 Tablespoons water in a microwave safe coffee mug or small bowl.
  • 3. Microwave on high 1 minute. Enjoy!
  • 4. You can mix in mini chocolate chips nuts etc. as desired. We usually top it with ice cream.

Tips:

  • Use a large microwave-safe bowl: This will allow the cake to rise properly and prevent it from overflowing.
  • Grease and flour the bowl: This will help the cake to come out of the bowl easily.
  • Do not overmix the batter: Overmixing can result in a tough, dense cake.
  • Microwave the cake in short intervals: This will help to prevent the cake from overcooking.
  • Use a toothpick to check the doneness of the cake: Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake; if it comes out clean, the cake is done.
  • Let the cake cool before frosting: This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.

Conclusion:

The 3-2-1 Microwave Cake is a quick and easy way to make a moist and delicious cake. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have a delicious cake in minutes. This cake is perfect for those times when you need a quick dessert or snack. You can also experiment with different flavors by adding different extracts or spices to the batter. Get creative and have fun! Experiment with different flavors, such as adding chocolate chips or using different extracts in the batter. The possibilities are endless.
