Tips:

  • Choose ripe, juicy strawberries. This will ensure the syrup is flavorful and sweet.
  • Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan. This will help to prevent the syrup from burning.
  • Bring the syrup to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Simmering the syrup will help to thicken it, while keeping the heat on low will prevent it from scorching.
  • Stir the syrup occasionally. This will help to prevent the sugar from crystallizing.
  • Remove the syrup from the heat once it has reached the desired consistency. You can check the consistency by dropping a small amount of syrup onto a cold plate. If the syrup holds its shape, it is ready. If it is too thin, continue to simmer for a few more minutes.
  • Let the syrup cool completely before using it. This will allow the flavors to develop and deepen.

Conclusion:

Homemade strawberry syrup is a delicious and versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of recipes, from pancakes and waffles to cocktails and desserts. It is easy to make and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. With its sweet and tangy flavor, strawberry syrup is sure to add a touch of sweetness and flavor to your favorite dishes.
